Random Projects

Yes, I do random projects on my free time. Anything that involves building or figuring out a new physical phenomenon is fascinating to me! Here's a few of the projects I've been up to in the last few years:

Understanding Branch Cuts

An interactive program to cut the complex plane

Driving a hundred solenoid valves

A system capable of individually  controlling >100 solenoid valves

How bright are my PIV particles?

A little calculator to estimate particle brightness given a camera/laser combination.

Supersonic Jet Calculator

A calculator to estimate conditions for an isentropic supersonic jet.
